Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Tuesday, March 1st, 2016

Northport rallied for two runs in the bottom of the sixth and held on to win 2-1 against Fort Myers Senior in a 7A-11 game Tuesday. Charlie Davidson pitched a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts, and Daltyn Smith went 2-for-3 for the Bobcats (5-4), who have won four of their past five after opening the season 1-3. Patrick Smith doubled and drove in two runs.

Mariner rebounded from a loss the night before to beat Cape Coral 5-2 in a 6A-11 game. Andrew Arsenault earned the win for the Tritons, who evened their record at 5-5.

Bishop Verot broke open a tight ballgame with two runs in the fifth and four more in the seventh to win 9-3 against Oasis in a 4A-5 game. Austin Peck got the win.
