Second-ranked Canterbury scored twice in the fourth to break up a scoreless game en route to a 3-0 win over Westminster Christian in the Sarasota Classic championship. The Cougars rolled to 16-0 as Michael Matter earned the win.

Naples extended its winning streak to six games as it came up with a run in the bottom of the fourth to break a tie en route to 3-2 win over Palmetto Ridge in a 7A-12 game. Jaret LaCagnina picked up the win for the Golden Eagles (14-3, 5-2), ranked sixth in Southwest Florida. The Bears fell to 10-7, 4-3 as they had their four-game winning streak stopped.
